Colour Love 1 Day Workshop Sunday 2nd November Brisbane

Colour is my language.  It's my first love & the last force that drives my art. Come & join me in a imersive, fun & relaxed workshop designed to help you speak your colour language too!

Explore the contemporary Australian landscape with me, Kate Pittas,  through colour & line . Our primary focus will be on colour & developing a palette that you love.

For ANYBODY! From never painted before to professional artists. I have 20 years experience with colour and will offer fresh ideas so even if you have lots if experience, I can give you another artists perspective. 

We will get straight into some colour theory & mixing, followed by experiments in line & texture, moving towards your main artwork of the day. A resolved 50x50cm painting of an expressive bush landscape to take home & hang on the wall. Multiple smaller studies will be made. 

Having taught visual arts in High schools for almost a decade and facilitated many painting workshops with adults from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, I feel really excited to be back teaching! 

Class sizes are small, with a maximum of 6 students so we have plenty of 1-on-1 time to deep dive into all the ideas.

Included:

●All materials.  Acrylic paint, charcoal, ink , drawing equipment, paper, canvas, brushes.

● Light refreshments such as tea & coffee. I will also provide a small platter to snack on.

Please bring

● Apron . You will get dirty so I suggest old clothes too. I have a few spares .

● water bottle 

● lunch - there is a fabulous cafe on site!
